Don't let Grocery Bills

Bog you Down Anymore

How does preserving save you money?

By growing food yourself - or purchasing food when it is fresh, in-season, on-sale, or available in bulk - you save money over typical grocery store prices.

Knowing how to store the food you buy means you can spread that discounted cost across the year.

You can choose what to preserve based on what you use most often, and based on comparable prices in-store.

We'll help you figure out how to get the best bang for your buck!

AND help you cut back on trips to the grocery store by "shopping" in your own pantry or freezer instead!

Your Instructor

Hi There!

I'm Carrie - founder of Homestead How-To and a part-time homesteader in Vermont. I'm also an educator with an advanced degree focused on Adult Learning.

We grow most of our own vegetables and use food preservation methods to serve something from our own supply almost every day, 365 days a year!

What we don't grow or raise ourselves, we often buy in bulk to take advantage of lower prices in season. Gallons of berries, sides of beef, you name it. We buy it and store it.

I'm excited to share my knowledge of food preservation with you in this course!
